Interior Designer/Decorator – approx. 37.5 hours per fortnight.

About you:

You have a proven track record in design & decorating. Your artistic flair and passion for delivering great results ensures the best outcomes. You love working with a broad range of clients to deliver creative solutions and your communications skills are outstanding. You are clearly an authentic advisor on style.

 

As an experienced professional you know how to complete schemes and bring them to life by coordinating soft furnishings, wall coverings, custom furniture and finishes. Getting it right matters, so you are detail-oriented ensuring specifications for your projects are exact. You know all about curtains.

Finally, while you will be working independently on design & decorating schemes from the start, you enjoy being part of a team and understand the importance of communication and systems required by a quality-focused company.

 

Essential Requirements – we are only looking for a candidate that meets these criteria

  • Outstanding customer focus

  • Expertise in soft furnishings, especially window furnishings

  • Deep knowledge of the Australian bespoke furnishings market

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a very similar role

  • Proven track record in interior decorating and design

  • Measuring & worksheet specification experience

  • Superior communication skills

  • Software skills – MICROSOFT Office suite – PowerPoint & Excel

  • Current NSW drivers license & own car

Desirable requirements – whilst not essential, would be highly regarded

  • Degree or diploma in Design & Decorating or equivalent e.g. UTS or Enmore College

  • MYOB experience for quoting (training provided)

 

9.30am-4pm weekdays and 9-2pm on Saturdays. Approx 37.5 hours per fortnight to include 2-3 weekdays plus every other Saturday.

Are you an outstanding sales professional with strong technical ability and a proven track record with blinds and awnings?

With over 40 years in the industry we are proud of our excellent reputation and relationships with leading manufacturers and well respected brands.
Due to business growth we are seeking a customer-focused sales professional to join an established decorating & design team in Sydney’s Inner West or Western suburbs. This role is hands on with day-to-day on the road appointments coupled
with business development to further grow in our key areas of focus.

 

About you:
 

You have a proven track of successful sales in the blinds and awning categories in NSW. You have deep product knowledge and technical understanding and are proficient in measuring, quoting and preparing worksheets for manufacturing and installing.
You are comfortable working with a broad range of clients and have outstanding communication skills. Your knowledge of motorization enables you to understand and tailor solutions to the most discerning of clients. You are the natural go-to person for the team when technical questions arise.

 

As an experienced sales professional you understand that getting it right matters. You are detail-oriented ensuring client requirements are factored into custom projects you oversee. Measuring, quoting and developing detailed worksheets and
specifications for manufacturers and installers is a key strength. Ensuring that product displays and samples are updated and liaising with reps from key suppliers is something that you are used to doing. Whilst you will be working independently, you enjoy being part of a team so are willing to actively contribute to team work by assisting in our showroom too.

9am-5pm weekdays and 10-4pm on Saturdays.
